Yoga with Laila is sweet and soft and at the same time dynamic and powerful! I feel Laila as a teacher is helping me to connect with my body and soul. The yoga she’s teaching is there to protect my body at the same time as it develops and opens in a soft way. Doing the downward facing dog at the end of a session of soft movements is very different from starting a class with it. Just try for yourself! And most of all Lailas classes are about presence.

Laila’s classes have a wonderful nurturing effect, with highly intuitive movements. Her style is far from the static pose-to-pose routines you often see. There is a fusion of styles expertly woven together, with hints of chi Kung/tai chi and somatic yoga. Here there is far more attention to the quality of movement or stillness, and timing the breathing with movement/stillness. The flow has a fluid dance-like quality, a gracefulness, sympathetic to each body’s needs and limitations, and Laila is expert at educating you as to the purpose of each pose, and what to avoid to stay safe in the pose. She also takes the time to really ground the class in the present, at the beginning, end and throughout, staying true to the spirit of yoga practice.

Laila’s yoga classes are a very special experience. All classes are themed and carefully prepared . She explains and demonstrates in a clear and thorough manner. Her classes are so releasing and nourishing. You inhabit your body for duration of class. Laila weaves and integrates her amazing wealth of yoga knowledge and experience in to her teaching. Her voice is calming and the softness and gentleness of her personality reflects in her teaching. You breathe at ease during the class and at end of class the body and mind is totally at ease . The gift of all gifts.
The style of Laila’s yoga is a mixture of movement and flow
The style of Laila’s yoga is a mixture of movement and flow, Chi gong type movements combine with breathing and some more traditional yoga moves. Breath work forms a part of the practise too. I love this style of yoga and feel my body really benefits and whilst I feel every muscle is used and stretched I don’t feel it is over strenuous. Laila has an Aura about her and having done live classes with her I still get his feeling when doing the classes in zoom. I practise a few different types of yoga but Lailas yoga centres me and the fact she works with the full moon and seasons really resonates with my body.
